Workout of the Stars
Everyday Joy - A Study of Philippians
No, this weekend’s message is not about aerobic exercise or weightlifting. Paul writes the beloved Philippians, instructing the church to "work out" their salvation, trusting God was working within them “to will and to work for His good pleasure." Although written to a first-century church, Philippians was written for us, as with all Scripture. This weekend, we’ll consider a significant life lesson: as the Lord works in us, He promises we will shine brighter than any fading Hollywood star. We will be "stars" shining in the darkness!
This is my final message as part of the pastoral staff at Dayspring Fellowship. Like the servants we will cover in Philippians 2, who were sent to serve others in need, I am called to be a faithful servant, going where He sends.
It has been my great honor and privilege to have served you these 12 ½ years. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to proclaim the Word of God. I hope you are blessed by this message, as I have been blessed by God and by you, dear saints.
Serving the King with you,
Pastor John
